Rosie (Leverne)’s Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leverne Pennell at the age of 69 years on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Kenneth E. Spencer Home, Moncton, NB with her family by her side. She was born on Woods Island on October 12, 1949 and the eldest child of the late John and Elizabeth Pennell. They later relocated to John’s Beach where she grew up until moving on to start a life on her own. In later years she chose Moncton, NB as her final home and it was there she met her partner Ryeal Richard whom adored her very much. Distance never kept her apart from her family. She had a big heart and cared so much for each and everyone whom she would ask about in every phone call. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories and will be dearly missed (especially her phone calls) by her sister Barbara Higgins (Clarence), Miramichi, NB; brother Freeman Pennell (Carolyn), Corner Brook; & sister Mary Misson (Zenon), Labrador City; nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, cousins and numerous friends. She is predeceased by her partner Ryeal (October 2018) and parents John (2000) & Elizabeth Pennell (1995), John’s Beach. In keeping with Leverne’s wishes cremation has taken place. No funeral by request. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will take place for family and friends at the home of her brother Freeman on 5 Ingrid Avenue, Corner Brook on Thursday, February 21st, 2019 from 3-7 pm. No flowers by request.
