It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gillian at Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the age of 57. Beloved wife and best friend of Greg for 30 years. A devoted mother to Ryan (Lindsey Gabriele), Joshua (Danielle Privett) and Jordon (Julia Clow). Treasured grandmother of Eli and Nora. Loving daughter of the late Sonia Fraser. Dear sister of Lawrence (late Judy), sister-in-law of Susan and Frank, and cherished daughter-in-law of Arlene and Richard.
Gill will also be deeply missed by all friends and her colleagues at St. Joseph’s Healthcare where she worked for almost 25 years.
Gill was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She loved her children fiercely and always had their back. She made friends wherever she went and will forever be remembered as the life of the party, always having a good time with a beautiful smile on her face. As well as touching countless individuals throughout her life, Gill still managed to touch two more lives after her passing through her organ donation.
A special thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Juravinski Hospital. Your compassion and care will never be forgotten.
Gill, although you lost your battle with cancer your strength and courage were so very admirable. We will be lost without you.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 3-6 pm.
If contributions are desired, it would be sincerely appreciated by the family to make them to the Canadian Cancer Society in Gill’s memory.
