Frances Louise «Fran» Deveau (Lawrence)
Deveau, Frances Louise, 76 – Hilden. It is with great sadness that we announce Fran’s passing in the QEII Infirmary on February 5, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Fran was born the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mabel Lawrence of Clarence, N.S. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Paul; son, Kirk (Tara); daughter, Tara; grandchildren, Madison, Brodey and Mackenzie; sisters-in-law, Janice Lawrence and Mariea (Jerry) Titus; brother-in-law, Randy (Wendy); nephews John Ray and Chris, nieces Jennifer and Erin, and great nieces Lillian and Clara. Besides her parents, Fran was predeceased by infant daughter Tracey; brother, John and parents-in-law Gerald and Muriel Deveau. Fran was a well-known tole-painter and her work was admired by family and friends across Canada. She was a member of the Hilden United Church, served on the Social Committee and on Session as an Elder for a number of years. Outside of church, she was a former member of the Kinette Club and a valued volunteer and supporter of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Thank you to the staff of 8.2 at the QEII Infirmary and a very special thanks to Dr. Rajaraman and his medical team. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, from where visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10th from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. with Keith Selwyn-Smith DLM officiating. If so desired, donations may be made to the Hilden United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.
