Obituary of Elsie O’Keefe
Passed peacefully away at the Placentia Health Care Center, after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family and friends: Elsie O’Keefe age 80 years of Placentia. Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Joseph Greene of Long Harbour, years 0brothers Joe and Cecil,sisters Mary Rose Norman and Rita Crowell, parents in-law Arthur and Philomena O’Keefe, brothers-in-law Francis Nash, Ed Greene , Ed Greene, Bill Norman, and Robert Crowell and two special nieces; Perpetua Collins and Kelly Greene.
Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 59 years Art, her children Michelle Glover,(David), Yvonne Mullaley (Finton), Shawn, Juanita and Scott (Vanessa), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brothers:Puis (Yvonne) and Frank:, sisters: Loretta ( Bill Collins), Marion (Tom Griffiths), Sylvia (Paul Kelly, deceased), special sister in law; Mary Cecil Greene and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Our Heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Placentia Health Care Center for their compassion and dignity in caring for our wife/ mother during her stay, and to moms dedicated homecare worker Linda Lake we say «Thank You»
Visitation will take place at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Friday, February 8 from 2:00 – 9:00.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 9 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 1:30 p.m. with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in Elsie’s memory, may be made to the Alzheimers Society or Downs Syndrome Society.
