It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darryl Wayne Morrison after a brief illness on Feb. 15, 2019 in Halifax at the age of 51. His loved ones never left his side.
Darryl spent 34 years with his loving wife Lorrie looking after him. As Darryl would always say “I am because she is.” Darryl found his true passion in the Fall of 98’ when he became a pipeliner. An occupation that soon became a lifestyle. He will be remembered for his quick-witted humor and extremely giving personality. Darryl had a specialty of saying the wrong thing at the right time. You could not be in a room with Darryl without laughing and that’s the way he loved it. Whether it was telling a terrible joke he copied from someone else or saying an inappropriate comment. He would do whatever it took to make people laugh. He helped so many people throughout his lifetime. If someone needed anything, Darryl would give it to them or teach them a way to give it to themselves. He loved guiding people and showing them how to get things done. No one worked harder to support their family than he did.
Darryl was an amazing father, a loving husband, and a spectacular grandfather. Darryl is predeceased by his grandparents and his birth father. He is survived by the love of his life, Lorrie; his first born, Gregory (Jazmine Wells); Baby girl, Alisha (Mackenzie McLaren); his grandson, Camden Gregory, who was his pride and joy! Also, by his parents, Marg & Lewis; brothers, Charles (Dawn), Jack (Josephine), Carl (Kelly) and Richard (Rhonda); sisters, Angela (Anthony) and Wendy. A few very special people, Randy & Rosemarie Sullivan, Steve & Marilyn Thompson, Junior Mackenzie & Linda O’Hara as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and fellow pipeliners. Darryl will be forever missed.
