Mrs. Claudette May Tuskovich
October 4, 1931 – February 19, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claudette May Tuskovich (Poirier, Powers) at age 87 on Feb 19, 2019. She passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughters in a room filled with the love of her family. She taught us all to dance to the music, love with passion, laugh every day and eat butter tarts.
Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend John, the love of her life, in 2016. They are now together again and dancing to «Peg of My Heart».
Also predeceased by husband Ivan Powers. She was the loved and loving Mother to Beverly Latour and Debbie Mulligan. She will be deeply missed by her devoted son in laws Pat and D’Arcy, who she loved as sons. Adored Memere to grandchildren Aaron (Sue) and Nathan (Melissa) Latour, Greg (Danielle), Bryce (Noa) and Drew (Liisa) Mulligan. Cherished Great Memere to Brooke and Connor Latour, Devan, Simon and Owen Latour, and Ella Grace Mulligan. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters Suzanne and Sharon. Predeceased by her siblings Nola, Aline, Merle, Lucy and Yves. She was «Aunt Dette» to many loving nieces and nephews. She will be missed by Chris (Tuskovich) and her husband Mike Locki, their children Mark and Erin and Natasha and Stephanie Tuskovich.
A very special thank you to Dr Chiang, Zach and the nurses at Anson General Hospital for their compassionate care. Also, thanks to all of her Red Cross Workers who helped her to stay in her own home, but most especially to Jenna for her devotion and friendship.
A family gathering to honour her will be held this summer at the cottage at Nellie Lake where she and John enjoyed many summers together. There will be music, laughter, hugs, tears and butter tarts.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place.
