It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of a great man, husband, son, brother, uncle and “Opa”.
Thomas Harald Hermann passed away on January 22, 2019 after a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.
Tom worked for many years at the Gas Company in Calgary.
Tom was an adventurous outdoorsman, always active and seemingly fearless. He embraces hang gliding, bob sledding, windsurfing, waterskiing, mountaineering and snowmobiling. A true sportsman he excelled at soccer,… Read More » tennis, skiing and hockey. He loved the lake, spending countless hours keeping his boat in good repair, taking his grandkids fishing or teaching novice water skiers how to “get up’ or “drop a ski”!
He will fondly remembered for his kindness, love of family and his wonderful sense of humor. Even throughout his illness, his optimism, good natured humor and zest for life never wavered.
A beacon of light has been extinguished from our lives and we will miss you so much. We are truly grateful to have been blessed with the time we shared with you.
Tom is survived by his father Paul Hermann, wife Susan, children Brittany (Matthew) and Jaryd (Larisa), grandchildren Londyn and Harlyn, sisters Dorothy, Angie and Jeanette(Randy), nephew and niece (Nick & Jill) and countless friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring of 2019.
