Settimio «Sam» Serrani
February 8, 1952 – January 3, 2019
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing man, Sam Serrani, at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday January 3, 2019 at the age of 66. Beloved husband of Anna (Petrella). Proud and loving father of Cassandra, Brittany and Bella, his furry best friend. Predeceased by his premature twin girls (1988), which broke his heart. Predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria. Dear brother of Rosa Verrelli (Mario), Domenica Marcoccia (the late Vito), and Peter. Dear son-in-law of Antonia Petrella (the late Michelangelo). Loving brother-in-law of Mena Del Bel (the late Mel), Rina Petrella (Milan), and Mary Baran (Rudy).Will be sadly missed by numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy. Sam operated his own business, Serrani Carpentry Inc. as a framer, which many knew him to be a very strong and hard worker. He will be dearly missed by all. Sam was a true fighter and suffered many years with numerous illnesses. Special thanks to Dr. Treleaven, for many years of care, Dr. Ribic, Dr. Szaley, Dave Corbett, and CCU for their care and compassion. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) on Tuesday January 8, 2019 from 6 – 9 p.m. and Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 3 – 9 p.m., with Vigil Prayers on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Church on Thursday January 10, 2019 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Hope Mausoleum, Resurrection Cemetery, Ancaster, Ontario «We love you forever and forever we will.»
