Scott William Mason
1964-2019
Scott William Mason – age 54, of New Minas, passed away on
Sunday, January 6, 2019, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of
Bill Mason, Halifax, and the late Carolyn (Welcher) Mason. Scott had
been employed as a service writer at VanOostrum Farm Equipment,
Hillaton. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and enjoyed barbeques,
bonfires and spending time with his daughters and granddaughter. For
him, the kids always came first. He is survived by two daughters,
Gladys (Tim) Johnson, New Minas; Veronica, at home; and their mother,
Amy (Anderson) and a granddaughter, Roza. Besides his mother, he was
predeceased by a brother, Shawn. Cremation has taken place.
There will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service, followed
by a reception, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12,
2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Gary
Manthorne officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
