Ruth Laszewski
1936-2018
It is with great sadness that we the
family say Goodbye to our Mother, Ruth (Smyth) Laszewski of
Bathurst, which occurred suddenly in Fredericton on Monday December
31, 2018.
Born in South Tetagouche, she was the
daughter of the late Newton and Marion (Good)
Smyth.
Ruth married our Father, Ben Laszewski
in 1958 and raised a family of four children in
Bathurst.
Ruth is survived by three children:
Darrell (Teri Winter) of Freeport, IL, USA, Susan Moore (Rick ) and
Sandra Melanson (Steve) both of New Maryland,
NB.
Four Grandchildren who were her pride
and joy: Colin and Mason Moore and Brett and Carter
Melanson.
One brother, Hugh Smyth (Janet Pitre)
of South Tetagouche and his children, Wanda (Danny McLaughlin), Leslie
(Tammie Caissie) and Brenda (Robert Vibert) and one sister, Charlotte
LeClair and her children, Stephen LeClair (Lynn) and Kevin LeClair as
well as four nieces and nephews: Joanne, David, Jeff and Renee and
their families.
Besides her husband, Ruth is
predeceased by our brother, David and her sister-in-law, Barb Smyth
and brother-in-law, Frank
LeClair.
Ruth was loved and supported by so
many close friends and
family.
We are beyond appreciative of the
loving care and support provided by
them.
The Family will receive relatives and
friends after 2pm Saturday at Elhatton Funeral Home
(www.elhatton.com),
Bathurst.
Funeral services will be held on
Sunday, January 6th, 2019 at 2 p.m. from the
First United Church, St. Patrick Street, Bathurst. Visiting hours are
Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Ruth may be
made to the First United Church or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
