Hoy, Roberta Fay:
Passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 94. Loving Mom to Ronna Gayle Kurmis, Dean Gordon Hoy (Nancy) and Pamela Jane Hoy (Gary Redding). Cherished Nana to Cory, Adam (Tara), Holly (Kevin), Sandy (Matt), Lacey and Daniel and great Nanny to Christian, Harmony, Cooper, Chloe, Nora and Margot. Predeceased by her husband, John Gordon (1972), her brothers, Fred, Allan, Ray and a sister, Marilyn. She will will also be missed by Katie Hampton as well as many nieces and nephews.
Roberta lived a full and healthy life. She volunteered for 29 years at the Grand River Gift Shop and many years at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church thrift shop. Roberta was a spirited little lady and was blessed with independence even during her later years. Roberta was still using city transit up until two weeks ago. The family would like to sincerely thank all of her friends and neighbours for looking out for her.
Roberta Fay’s family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
