Pierre Charles Wust
1960-2019
It is with great sadness that the companion and family of
Pierre Wust announces his passing Thursday, January 10, 2019, at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following complications from Multiple
Sclerosis. He was born in Strasbourg, France on April 22,
1960.
Pierre is survived by his companion of 18 years Chantal
Cormier, son Thomas Wust (Christy) of Magnolia, Arkansas, by his
sister Brigitte Haag (Denis) and his niece Julia of Strasbourg,
France. Pierre will also be forever remembered by his extended family
and friends in France. Pierre was predeceased by his wife
Hélène Dubé-Wust and parents Charles
Jacques Wüst and Caroline Wüst
(Eyer).
When Pierre first arrived in Canada he worked at Research and
Productivity Council in Fredericton and a later career change to a
Registered Massage Therapist of which he was very proud. Shortly
before his passing Pierre worked at Myoflex Massage and Rejuvenation
Clinic; his illness forced him to stop working as an RMT at the end of
2017. However, he continued to be employed at Myoflex until his
passing.
Pierre will be remembered for his dedication and involvement
with the Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapist. He also
played a major role in the development and recognition of the massage
therapy profession. Prior to being limited by his MS Pierre was an
avid dancer and someone who loved to be active walking and
cycling.
A Celebration of Life will be held to remember and celebrate
Pierre’s life. The gathering will take place at
McAdam’s Funeral Home located at 160 York Street,
Fredericton on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 2:00 pm –
5:00 pm. A private interment will take place at a later date in
Fredericton. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the
Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Atlantic), DECH Foundation or
United Way Central N.B.
Pierre’s companion Chantal, close friend Elisabeth
Daigle and family extend sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Dr.
Scott Robertson, Dr. Ewa Pniak, the Telecare nurse, the First
Responders, ER and CCU staff for all exceptional care and
kindness.
