Phyllis Jeanette Wellman nee (Benoit)
December 24, 1950 – January 13, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Wellman nee (Benoit) announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Sunday January 13th, 2019 at the age of 68 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Rick in Port au port, her children Darlene (Ali) Boyles in Port au Port, Matthew (Terri-Lynn) Wellman and Cindylee (Matthew ) Organ in Conne River, her grandchildren; Amelia, Maddy, Dean, Dalton and Dawson. Also leaving to mourn her siblings: Robert (Phyllis ) Benoit, Larry (Marie) Young, Barb (Lloyd) Young, Veronica (Pat) Young, Gloria (Gordon) Reeves, Susan (Jeffrey) Gaudon, Eric Young, Madonna (Robert) Snook, James (Kelly) Young, Michael (Crystal) Young, Ben (Kayla) Young, Danny Jesso, Dianna (Carlos) Pierra, Sheila (Ron) Jesso-Khan, Delores (Stan) Peddle, Wanda Jesso, Doreen John) Dennis, Joanne (Dave) Jesso, Penny Spence (Bill Hutchings), Richard (Shelby) Jesso and Karen Jesso along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Alice Maud Young, her father Ronald Jesso and her nephew Kyle.
The family will be receiving friends at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Tuesday January 15th, 2019 from 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday January 16th, 2019 at 1pm from Zion Pentecostal Church on Carolina Ave in Stephenville. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr Dwyer, Dr Habashi, Dr Dennis and the staff of the Palliative Care unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for the care and compassion given to Phyllis and her family at this difficult time.
