Passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at the age of 88 years.
Beloved husband of Maria Silva (nee Xavier) for 66 years. Dear father of Jose Silva (Teresa), Luisa Lobo (Armindo), Paula Silva, and Ivone Symonds (Steve). Loved grandfather of Luisa, Trish, Robert, Jason, Alex, Brian, Jesse, Sasha, Josh, and Ryan, and great grandfather of Kassandra, Tyson, Alana, Trinity, Emily, Deveraux, Carter, Logan, Nevaeh, Ilda, Leah, Anthony, and Natassia, and great great grandfather of Preston. Dear brother of Valentino Silva. Predeceased by his children Roberto, Fatima, Manuela, and Paulo. Nicolau’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900), on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
