MILDRED «MILLIE» JOAN MOUNT
1941 – 2019
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Southlake Newmarket Hospital on Thursday January 3rd, 2019 in her 77th year. Beloved Mother of Randy ( Evelyn ), Steven ( Stephanie ), Ernie ( Sherri ) Millie was proud of her six Grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by Sister Linda ( Patrick ), Brother John, and Sister Judy ( Michael ). Sister-in-laws Betty and Christine. Pre -deceased by her parents James and Betty Monasterski and brothers Ernie and James Jr. She was a loving Aunt to all of her Nieces and Nephews. Millie lived for many years in the Pefferlaw and Sutton area before relocating to Newmarket. She was most proud of her years working in the Sutton and then Keswick high schools as a cook in the cafeteria where she also worked with co-op students in the kitchen. She especially loved getting together with her family for Special Holidays and Birthdays and Weddings. We all remember how she loved to dance, laugh and sing with her favourite song being: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.” So when you gaze upon the night sky, and you see a «Little Light» remember Millie. It was her wish to be cremated. A «Celebration of Her Life» will take place in the Party Room at 55 Huntingdale Blvd., Scarboough M1W 2N9 on Sunday, January 27, 2019, from 1-4 p.m. Condolences may be expressed on the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home website. If desired, Memorial Donations can be made to the Charity of your choice.
