Meredith Georgia Foster
1928-2019
Mrs. Meredith Georgia (Benson) Foster, 90, of Blacks Harbour,
NB passed away peacefully at Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on
Friday, January 11, 2019, three weeks after her husband of 72 years,
Basil’s passing.
Georgia was born in Seal Cove, Grand Manan, NB, the daughter
of the late George Calvin Benson and Mamie Floella
Wilcox.
Georgia, her husband, and daughter Cheryl moved to Maine, in
the 1960’s where she worked as a Practical Nurse from 1961,
until her retirement in 1986. They then sold their home and moved back
to Canada in the town of Saint George, NB.
Georgia is survived by one daughter Cheryl Ann Billings and
her husband, Berry of Durham, Maine, two grandchildren, five great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Georgia is
predeceased by his parents, her husband Basil Foster on December, 18,
2018, six sisters, Eleanor, Elsie, Ella, Ethelyn, Eulah, Emily; five
brothers, Walton, Eathel Eldon, Everette and Emerson.
There will be a celebration of Georgia and Basil
life’s in the spring of 2019.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fundy Nursing Home, or
a charity of the donor’s choice.
