Marilyn Edith Mackey
1968-2019
Marilyn E. Mackey passed away on January 19, 2019 as the result of an
ATV accident. She was born on January 18, 1968 in Toronto, ON, a
daughter of the late John Mackey and Helen (Blair) Tracy.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time on the St. Croix River, canoeing and
kayaking. Family and friends were an important part of her life.
She had a passionate love for animals, especially her faithful
sidekick, Lucy.
She is survived by her son, Lucas Mackey, St. Stephen, NB; two
sisters, Crystal Mackey, Toronto, ON and Theresa Mackey (Allison),
Nackawic, NB; three brothers, John Mackey, Toronto, ON, Leon Mackey
(Lisa), McAdam, NB and Cyril Mackey (Kim), Amherst, NS; several aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers,
Patrick and Larry Mackey.
Visitation will be held at Voice of Pentecost Church, 82 Harvey Road,
McAdam, NB on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 12 noon until 2 pm when
the funeral service will be held with Rev. Stephen Tompkins
officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will
be at a later date at Rockland Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Marilyn, the family
has suggested donations in trust for her son Lucas’s education,
cheques made payable to Dale Mackey.
