It is with deep sadness, the family of Lorraine Nyl nee Jahrig announces her passing peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, after her difficult battle with cancer at the age of 71 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Brian; children Alison Kobelak (Dave Watson), Stacey Nyl (Carlos Blanco), Brett (Heather) Nyl, Lainie (Shane) Nordin; grandchildren Riley, Savannah, Maia, Allie, Kolby, Carmen; great granddaughter Macy and all of her siblings Lynne (John), Brad (Deb), Melanie (Doug), Bob (Carla), Brigitte (Randy) and Sonya ( Harold).
A Celebration of Life for Lorraine will be held on Saturday January 19th, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Radisson Hotel and & Convention Center Edmonton, 4520 76 Avenue NW, Edmonton
T6B 0A5.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Patti Farrell for her unbelievable care over the past 30 years and for her kindness and support during her illness.
Anyone who knew her would understand the profound sense of loss with Lorraine’s passing. She was a woman who always surpassed the ordinary, who was the life of the party, who made everyone laugh and feel welcome and loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lorraine’s honor may be made to the “ Little Warriors” at www.littlewarriers.ca . Before her illness Lorraine was considering volunteering with this national organization committed towards helping abused children as she felt “all children should walk on this earth free of fear and harm.”
