It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Field.
Born in High Prairie Alberta, the youngest child of Roy and Charlotte Field. Keith spent his early childhood growing up in Kinuso Alberta before the family relocated to BC, as his father was a millwright working the sawmills in the Dome Creek, Penny, Snowshoe, and McBride areas. Keith’s family moved to the Comox Valley in the late 1940’s a few years before his dad and uncle built Field Sawmill. His life passions were music, painting and nature (camping & fishing). He spent many years teaching guitar and playing with local bands in the valley. Keith is survived by his partner Althea, his sisters Helen Russell & Audrey Stitt, children Shane (Karen) & Tara (Bibianna), stepchildren Megan (Mike), Darren (Jeannine), Ryan, grandchildren Brandon & Alexandra, great grandchildren Marshall and Danniella,, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
