It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John (Jack) Patrick Carr on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Bernadette (nee Allen) for 61 years. Loving father of Douglas Carr (Catherine Jessup), Elizabeth Heath (Bernard), Daniel Carr (Joanna Scales), and Jacqueline Ridyard (Paul). Cherished grandfather to Liam, Evan, Nicholas, Jason, Annabel, Katie, Emily, Breanne, Jared and Kylen, and great-grandfather to Jaydan. Dear brother of Ann (Brennan) and the late James and Douglas. John enjoyed a well-deserved retirement after a long and successful career as an insurance adjuster. He was renowned for his quick wit and unfailing sense of humour. John will be dearly missed and warmly remembered by his extended family and his many friends. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Wednesday January 9, 2019 from 12:00 pm. to 1:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER IN CHAINS at 1:30 pm. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
