John (Gaffy) O’Neil, 84
Port Morien
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and Uncle, John «Gaffy» on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine(Clements), daughters, Cheryl Anderson (Harold Admond), Rhonda (Stewart MacPherson), Joanne (Barry MacLeod), sister Francie (John Hiscock), grandchildren; Natasha O’Neil (Jordan Musgrave), Beth (Dale Landry), Elisha O’Neil (Jason MacDonald), Wendy Rhodes (DJ Pouchelu), Shaun MacPherson, Matthew Rhodes (Erica Hopkins) Shelley and Marley MacLeod, 5 great grandchildren, numerours nieces and nephews which all had a special place in his heart.
He was predeceased by his parents; Larry and Cassie O’Neil, son, John and daughter- in-law Brenda, brothers ;Joe, Larry (Carol), Donald (Joan), sister; «Sis» (Hayward) Hillier.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for John (Gaffy) will be held Wednesday, January 30th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Parish, Port Morien followed by a mass at 11a.m. with Fr. Norman MacPhee presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery Fund, Port Morien or Palliative Care.
The Family would like to thank An Calla Palliative Care Doctor’s and nurses for their care and devotion and the Cape Breton County Homemakers.
