Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday December 10, 2018 in her 91st year. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Wilmot Gates (2011). Dear mother of Allen and his wife Phyllis of Unionville, James and his wife Deborah of Brampton, Paul and his wife Janice of Port Perry. Lovingly remembered by Joan’s brother Bill and his wife Gail Jones of Mississauga. Loving grandmother of Jody, (Allan), Stephannie (Colin), Sheena (Alistair), Katrina (Adam) and Devin (Madison). Lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren, nieces, and nephew. The family of Joan Gates will receive friends at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE on Saturday, December 29th from 1 p.m. until time of her «Celebration of Life» at 2 p.m. Reception to follow at Fenelon Falls United Church. Interment will take place later at Erskine Cemetery in Pickering. The family of Joan would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital-Palliative Care, we appreciate your care and compassion.
