Obituary of Jessie McLaughlin
Mrs. Jessie Lillian McLaughlin was born in Sus on April 22, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Doreen (Bevans) Harvey.
Jessie had a hunger for life and a passion for music. From fiddle, guitar, banjo and harp; all the way to accordion, there wasn’t an instrument she couldn’t play. She loved being part of the Happy Go Lucky Fiddlers for many years and could sing like a bird. When she wasn’t making amazing music, she enjoyed summers in St. Martin’s, cross-stitch, gardening and cooking.
She worked as a hairdresser for many years, not knowing that she would meet the love of her life in that very chair. In 2003. Jessie would marry David McLaughlin and they would get to celebrate their love for 15 wonderful years. Family was very important to Jessie and she was always happy when she was surrounded by those, she held so dear.
Jessie was a kind-hearted woman, whom would spare no expense when it came to helping others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful spirit. Her smile could brighten any room. She will be deeply missed by all who came into her life.
She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, David McLaughlin of Plumweseep; her grandchildren: Brianna and Isaiah Harvey; five great grandchildren; her sisters: Judith Connolly and her husband Mike of Maugerville, Earlene Titus and her husband Wayne of Geary and Patricia Thornhill and her husband Randy of Sus; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mrs. Jessie Lillian McLaughlin of Plumweseep passed away suddenly at the Sus Health Center on January 19, 2019 at the age of 66.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter, Sherri Harvey who passed away in 2010 and by her sister, Anita.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A celebration of Jessie’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 1:00pm.
