Died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her dear son Danny, sister Shirley and brother-in-law Harry. Survived by her husband Douglas, with whom she shared 70 memorable years, Daughter Deborah Norbury (Richard), son Jeffery (Nuria) and daughter Charmaine Reid (Jim), brother-in-law and sister-in-law Les and Sharon Branch as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Windsor to Allan and Emily Reeves, but Sauble Beach was her special place and where the extended family continue to gather every summer from as far away as the U.K.
Jean was in the Red Cross Corps during WWII, then worked at City Hall until she married in 1949 when she started to raise her family. They attended St. Barnabas Church for many years followed by Emmanuel United. During the summer months, Jean and Doug were very active in the South Sauble Community Church.
Jean was a keen volunteer at the Metropolitan Hospital Auxiliary and the May Court Thrift Shop with her dear friend Wynn.
We’ll miss you mom but are comforted to know that Danny, Shirley and Harry are waiting for you.

Visiting Wednesday January 23, 2019 from 5-7p.m. at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre (1969 Wyandotte St. E, Windsor). Memorial Service Thursday January 24, 2019 at 2p.m. at Emmanuel United Church (1728 Lincoln Rd, Windsor).
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Jean may be made to World Vision (1 World Dr., Mississauga ON, L5T 2Y4) or to Emmanuel United Church.
