Obituary of James Hillyer
Suddenly at the Hanover Hospital on Friday morning, January 11th, 2019. James Beverly Hillyer, of Hanover and formerly of Owen Sound, at the age of 50 years. Loved husband of Laurie Hillyer (nee Henry). Loving father of Natasha Henry-Richardson (Ian), of Wiarton and Samantha Hillyer (Joe Pollard) of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Alexis, Tyson and Dominic. Beloved son of Beverly and Kathleen Hillyer, of Meaford and formerly of Owen Sound. Dear brother of Robert and Adam Hillyer, both of Owen Sound. Jamie will also be missed by his best friend and companion, Kelly Hillyer, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. James loved to hunt and fish. He was so excited when his dad, Rob and himself shared in the Big Win at the Salmon Spectacular in 2017.

WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Jamie Hillyer will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Shearman officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Sydenham Sportsmen Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetic Association as an expression of sympathy.
