Isabel Beatrice Lord
1933-2019
The family of Isabel Beatrice Lord
(née Warwick) announces her
sudden passing in Saint John on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from
pneumonia.
Isabel was the beloved wife of the late Walter F. Lord,
P.Eng. and the devoted mother of W. Stephen Lord (Patricia
MacCallum-Lord) of Ottawa, Heather MacKinnon (Robert) of Lacombe,
Alberta, and Dawn Holmen (Neil) of Calgary. She was the adored
Granny of Maritie Lord (Graham Galway), Stephanie
Lord (Mike Connolly) of Rothesay and W. Jonathan Lord; of V.
Gail Martin (Gregg), Kelly Barrington (Tyler), and Lynn MacKinnon of
Saint John; and of Kristen and Peter Holmen. She also leaves her great
granddaughters Stella Martin and Audrey Barrington. Isabel will be
truly missed by her brother Art Warwick and sister-in–law
Maureen of Saint John and by their daughters Roxanne Clancy (Peter) of
Grand Bay and Angela Saunders; by her cousins Jean Seely
and Marjorie Arthurs; and by her dear friend Lorraine
Herrington.
She was born in Saint John on February 21, 1933 to
William Warwick and Marjorie (Bourke) Warwick.
Isabel excelled in her roles of wife, mother, grandmother and
homemaker. She leaves her family with wonderful memories, recipes and
countless hand knit sweaters. She was a Honourary Life Member of the
Martinon Yacht Club who relished spending her summers at the family
cottages in Martinon and Sand Point (Buckley’s
Cove).
Arrangements are under the care
of Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John
(634-7424). There is no visitation; a
private service will be held later,
followed by interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of
flowers; charitable donations may be made in Isabel’s name
to the Martinon Yacht Club, the Alzheimer Society of
Canada for research, or to the charity of the
donor’s choosing.
