Glenn Arthur Capling, age 85, of RR# 3 Embro, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2019. Born in Shakespeare, son of the late Arthur and Florence (Schmidt) Capling.
Beloved husband for 66 years of Faye (Jones). Loving father of Nancy Bacle (Robert), Doug Capling and John Capling. Grandfather of Bruce Barrett, Cindy Barrett, Ted Capling (Julie), Jessica McAteer (Ben), Debbie Loghrin (Nelson) and David Barrett. Great-grandfather of Emily, Kylie, Isabelle, Lilly, Jack, Victoria, Rebecca and Cole. Also survived by sisters-in-law Marie Ruby, Sandra Meta, Bonnie Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Cecil and Wray Capling.
Glenn and Faye owned and operated Capling Radio and TV in Stratford for over 40 years. He was an active, lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church. Glenn was a Jeep enthusiast, having restored several over the years.
Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, February 2, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Spring interment at South Easthope Cemetery.
