It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gaetan “Gates” Caron surrounded by his family at Health Sciences North on January 21st, 2019 at the age of 65 years. Beloved husband of Isabella Caron (née Knorle). Cherished father of Angela (Louis) and Kelly (Johan). Treasured Poppa of Kage, Abigail and Alexander. Dear son of Jeannine and Guy Forcier (both predeceased). Dearly loved by his siblings Rachel, Gisele (Ken), Joey (Nicole), late Claude (Julie), Jean (Diane), Andre (Lynn) and Serge (Carole). Loving brother-in-law to Roman (Miranda) and Marcus. Cherished uncle to Emilie, Josée (Trevor), André, Naomi, Sophie (Kirk), Chanelle (Matt), Dominic, Shyanne, Jennifer and George. He will be sadly missed by his grand-nieces, grand-nephew, relatives and friends. Gate was a hardworking miner that retired in 2003 and enjoyed life golfing, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed sitting in his garage with his best friends Gilles and George and especially spending time with his grandchildren. A special thank you to the Toronto General Hospital transplant team and all the staff at Health Sciences North that cared for him over the past few months. Our gratitude to the greatest Hero we never knew, the organ donor, who gifted him with the extra time to make memories. BE A DONOR! A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. at St-Alexander Church, Chelmsford.
