Ellen Jane Byers
1955-2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Jane Byers,
loving wife of Christopher Byers, announces her passing, which
occurred on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born in Saint John on October 11, 1955, she was the daughter
of the late Allison and Zelda (Burton)
Briggs.
Jane graduated from Saint John vocational school in 1974
specializing in home economics. She was a proud member of the
Women’s Institute, an organization committed to helping
women learn valuable life skills. She loved country music, and enjoyed
attending live concerts.
She will be missed by her husband Christopher W. Byers of 39
years; a brother, Kenneth Kelly; as well as several cousins, friends
and her beloved dog, Bebee. In addition to her parents, she was
predeceased by an infant brother, Stephen.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home,
1461 Manawagonish Rd. Saint John, NB (634-7425). In keeping with
Jane’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. The
family will arrange a graveside service at Welsford Community Cemetery
at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the
Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
