Obituary for Colin Cartlidge
Colin Cartlidge, a resident of Grande Pointe and formerly of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the age of 82. Colin is the son of the late Herbert & Constance (Rowland) Cartlidge. Beloved husband of Joan Doris (Notley) Cartlidge. Loving father of Tracey Batte (Paul). Dear grandfather of Nikki (Shane), Melissa (Derrick), Shane (Taylor) and the late Jamie and great grandfather of 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Sandra and the late Shirley and brother-in-law of Barbara Price (Dave) and Pamela Jeffs. Colin had retired as a millwright with Vannatter Tool and Die and Solus Manufacturing. Colin enjoyed hanging out with his friends at Canadian Tire. He loved to take things apart, fix them and put them back together, often having to make new parts to make them useful again. He also had a passion for car and motorcycle racing. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg.
