It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Carol Margaret Mark (nee Arnott) on January 7, 2019 in Vernon BC. She was born in Winnipeg, MB on March 2, 1942. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stan Mark, (and her furry family Rosie an Oreo), her sister Judy Thom (Don Jones), nephews Brent Diemert (Lynn Wise), nieces Alyssa Labrosse (Randy) and their children Cheyenne and Mikaela: Jacquelyn Tardiff (Ryan) and their children Leighton and Braiden, and Katlyn Wise (Cam). Also survived by nephew Brian Diemert (Trish) and children Danielle and Dustin (Keah). Carol was predeceased by a brother, Guy Arnott in 1947, her father, Guy Thomas Arnott, in 1979 and her mother, Beatrice (Casemore) Arnott in 2002. Carol’s life took her on many adventures from Winnipeg, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, North Battleford, Vancouver, New York, Richmond, Langley and spent the last 29 years in Kamloops and then Vernon with the love of her life, Stan. Carol was successful in her careers with the Bay, Federal Supply and Services and retired in Kamloops from the Federal Probation Services. Carol always loved animals and when settling in Kamloops with Stan their life was full of horses, dogs and Carol’s beloved cats. When moving to Vernon in 2007, she volunteered at the SPCA and was on the Board of CMHA. She loved her life in Desert Cove playing crib and bingo in the last few years of her life. We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Schuch for his great care of Carol during her time in Vernon. Also, for the care at Hospice House and Polson Residential Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vernon SPCA or the North Okanagan Hospice House. Following cremation there will be a Celebration of Life held at the Desert Cove Recreation Centre on February 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
