Obituary for Brian Phillips
Brian Phillips – It is with heavy heart that we say goodbye on January 3, 2019 at Caressant Care Marmora at the age of 57. Born March 4, 1961 Brian is predeceased by his parents Joan and Carl Philips. Dear brother of Al (Joanna), Fred (Mari), Kerry (Judy), Ben (Joan) and Chuck (Tina). Loving Uncle to Natali (Steve), Kayli (Luke), Jenna (Doug), Tahni (Jake), Christopher, Matthew, Mark, Sam (Sally), Carly, Jackson, Jaycee, Callahan and Grand-nieces Sophia and Emma. Brian exemplified all that we should be in life – unqualified loving, caring and forgiving. He greeted you with a huge smile, an even bigger hug and then a poke in the ribs. He rounded out our lives, making us kinder and gentler people. His life touched many people in Bala, Bracebridge, Lindsay, Highland Grove and Caressant Care in Marmora. He possessed a competitive spirit and hated to lose. He was a die-hard Leafs and Blue Jays fan!
Brian was a passionate sports fan, including participating in the Special Olympics at the local level, we ask that donations be made to the Special Olympics through Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street Lindsay or online at www.mackeys.ca. In keeping with Brian’s wishes a graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Stirling later this year.
