Obituary of Bernice Allen
Allen, Bernice Alberta
Passed away Sunday January 20, 2019 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her parents Horace and Alberta Allman of Manitoba. Beloved wife for 60 years of the late Jim Allen.
Will always be remembered by her sons Lorne (Vicki), Gregg (Karen Wilson) for her love, determination, laughter and family devotion. Loving sister of Ed (Sherry) Allman in Winnipeg. Cherished Grandmother of Kelly (Darren) Mahoney, Carlie (Ryan) Rusaw and Lucas. Great Grand children Alana, Emma, Evan and Aiden.
Nephews Sid (Noreen) and Guy (Debbie), Nieces Bev Cheys and Tannis (Scott).
Our family journey took us from Brandon, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Toronto and then to Peterborough, our home, in 1967.
Bernice “Buzz” and the “Big Jim” had many enjoyable years at Golden Beach Resort on Rice Lake and looked forward to their winter trips to Florida. Special thanks to P.R.H.C. and Rubidge Retirement Residence staff for their kindness, care and dedication.
A Celebration of Bernice’s Life will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Sunday January 27th, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Legacy Room, with Words of Remembrance at 3:30 pm. If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
