Peacefully, Audrey Helen Johnston (nee Brewer) died at the Starwood Extendicare home on December 31, 2018. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Keene in 1989. She is survived by her daughter Susan Van Sertima (Bill Bezanson), son Terry (Ginny Twomey) and Son Kevin. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Frank, Audrey (Paul), Ashley (Greg), Stacey, Kristina (Nick) and Chloe and seven great grandchildren, George, Henry, Kaden, Suzy, Coralie, Kevin and Payten. Audrey was born in Winnipeg and after marriage lived in Winnipeg, Galt, Flin Flon, Sioux Lookout and Ottawa. She spent over 30 years doing volunteer work and received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal shortly after her 90th birthday. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Starwood Extendicare for their compassionate care and support. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2019 at the Garden Chapel of Tubman s, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean from 12 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of your choice.
