Obituary of Zilda Mary Gerard
GERARD, Zilda Mary, age 73 – West Arichat
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Zilda Mary Gerard, that occurred suddenly at her home in West Arichat on May 7, 2018. Born in West Arichat on June 16, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Dorey) Gerard. Zilda is survived by her brother Ron, with whom she lived with, West Arichat; sisters, Anna Boudreau (Rudolph), Petit de Grat, Margaret Samson (Paul), Janvrin’s Island, Margaret Bourgeois, West Arichat; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George; sister in law Zita Gerard and brother in law, Joseph Bourgeois. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat on Friday evening, May, 11, 2018 from 7 – 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday morning, May 12th in Our Lady of Assumption Church in Arichat at 11am with Rev. Michel Exalant presiding. Burial to take place at a later date. A reception will be held following the mass in Our Lady of Assumption Parish Hall in Arichat. Memorial donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in West Arichat. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home Ltd. in Arichat.
