Obituary of William « Bill » Asselstine
Following a brief illness, passed away at Providence Care Hospital on Friday, January 12, 2018, at age 86. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Ryder). Loving father of Carey (Lynda), Jill Marquette (Wayne), Mark (Shelley), Cindy (Robert Jeffrey) and Troy (April). Predeceased by his daughter Cathy. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Nikki, Colin, Ashley, Holly, Kyle, Katie, Alexandra, Amber, Hunter, Braedyn, Christopher and Madison and by his great grandchildren. Dear brother of Stan (Irene), Doreen Jordan (late Bill), Jim (Barb), Faye O’Grady (late Mike) and Paul (Caroline). Predeceased by his parents Bert and Bernice, his brothers Doug and Lewis and dear friend Catherine Huff. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Paul G. Payne Funeral Home, 178 Main St., Odessa, Ontario K0H 2H0 (613-386-7373) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Service in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. Memorial donations to UHKF would be appreciated by the family, in recognition of the care that Bill received.
