Wayne Scott
Wayne passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife and family by his side on Monday, November 26, 2018. Born in Seaforth on June 1, 1935, Stewart Wayne Scott of Seaforth was in his 84th year.
Beloved husband of Leona (née Uniac) Scott for 62 years. Loving father of Nancy Gridzak (Paul) of Brucefield, Rick Scott (Miemie) of Saskatoon, Randy “Scotty” Scott of Seaforth and Patricia Scott of Atlanta, GA. Cherished grandpa of Tracy Hiusser (Mike Millian), Stacey Hummel (Rick), Billy Gridzak (Megan Disher), Angela, Haley Scott, Jessica Scott, Bryan Twynham (Virginia), Stephen Twynham, as well as several great-grandchildren. Also missed by his siblings Helen Garrick of Pine Lake, Larry Scott (Brenda) of Ilderton, Marie Little of Pine Lake, his siblings-in-law Joan Bettles of Egmondville, Betty Pelke, Joe Uniac (Jeanette), Colleen Appleby (Ken) and Mike Uniac (Carolyn), all of Mitchell, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Minna (née Stewart) Scott, siblings Flora Anne McAllister (Ron), Kathleen Baker (Jim), Vern Scott (and his first wife Margaret Coleman), Barb Staples, and brother-in-law George Garrick.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, November 30th from 7-9 p.m. and will continue at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of Wayne’s Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Maitlandbank Cemetery followed by a reception at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.
