Walter Baumung
1959-2018
Walter passed away suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on December
18 at 59 years of age. Walter was the proud father of Alex (Melanie),
Michael, and Erin, and he will be remembered by their mother, Lisa
Saville. Walt will be sadly missed by his brother Ralph, predeceased
by his mother (Margit) and father (Rudolf).
“Walt from Galt” was a lifelong Cambridge resident with
great memories of growing up on Millcreek Rd. Walter loved and
supported his children as a Beaver leader, hockey coach, and as an
enthusiastic hockey parent. Walt’s family would like to thank
the ICU staff at Cambridge Memorial for their tireless effort and
support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated.
There was nothing Walt liked more than spending time with friends over
a beer. As such, a celebration of life will be arranged where friends
can gather to share memories of Walt, and to raise a glass in his
