It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dad, Thomas Edward Tong, reunited with his loving wife Grace Tong (January 27, 2018).
He was the best friend and loving husband of Grace for 68 years. They will be deeply missed.
He loved his family, Bonny Quait, (Ted Dymerski), Barb Caron (Randy), Ken (Geri) and Betty Playfoot (Bill).
The apples of his eyes included Shannon, Mike (Mandy), Will (Nancy), Brittany, Mike, Amy, Ashley and Nick.
The little apples are Emily, Josh, Zack, Riley, Hailey, Andrew, Lachlan, Alice and Rosalee.
He was born March 20, 1930 to parents, Joseph & Rosetta (nee Rowe) Tong.
He is predeceased by his son Gord, sister Mildred, brother Bill & son-in-law James Quait.
Brother of John and Ralph Tong.
Tom touched many lives through farming in the Cedar Springs area. He was a kind, loving man and was a friend to everyone he met.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St. Blenheim, on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
