Stanley died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the age of 87. Loving Husband of Elizabeth for 32 years. Survived by his loving sister Margaret Forbes of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Dear Father of Stanley (Gloria) and Brian and Stepfather of Jim (Wendy), Judy (Barry), Ron (Isabelle), Robert and Terry (Sarah). Loving Grandpa of Kyara, Ayslinn, Courtenay, Stephanie, Christopher, Kyle, Steven and James and Great Grandfather to Keagan, Payton, Avery and Emily. Stanley had a career of 49 years in the Newspaper industry with Montreal Star, Gazette and Toronto Star. After retirement he continued to pursue his hobbies of hunting, golf and bowling. Stanley was a wonderful man …. thoughtful, kind and respectful of others with a keen sense of humour. He had his own unique sayings which entertained the family and put a smile on our faces. He was the always there for his family and those who needed him … Meals on Wheels for the elderly and taking those people to their medical appointment when needed. He was a very sweet man and will be missed terribly by those who loved him. Private family inurnment will be on Saturday, October 20th at 2:30 followed by a Celebration of Life at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, Oakville, Ontario. Condolences may be made through www. glenoaks.ca.
