It is with great sadness, yet joy that Chuck and Julie Hogeterp announce the peaceful birth and passing of their precious daughter Sophia Jenneke on Sunday, December 9th, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton. Sophia was the little sister of Lily. She was the much anticipated granddaughter of Peter and Joanne Hogeterp and Robert and Nancy Heersink. Loved by aunts and uncles, Leanne and Tom Enns (cousin Jack), Kelvin and Staci Hogeterp (cousin Nate), Andrew and Jamie Heersink (cousins Paityn and Ben). She was the great granddaughter of Sophie Elgersman, Henk and Betsy Heersink and Abe Knegt (Bertha Vermeer). Sophia was predeceased by her great grandparents, Ralph and Rena Hogeterp, Fred Elgersman and Jennekke (Janet) Knegt. Following a private family committal service, the family will receive friends at the Cayuga Kinsmen Hall, 15 Thorburn Street, Cayuga on Sunday, December 16th from 3-5 pm. If desired, donations to Haldimand Norfolk Hope Box would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to COOPER FUNERAL HOME, Jarvis (519-587-4414).
