Passed away peacefully at Port Colborne Hospital on January 9, 2018 in her 104th year.
Signe was born in Haileybury, Ontario on August 19, 1914.
Predeceased by her parents August and Anna Olson and her husband of 60 years, Andrew. She is survived by her children Wayne (Nancy) of Port Perry, Ken (Beverly) of Fonthill, Terry (Theresa) of Niagara Falls, Bonnie (Paul) Mercer of Cobourg, 9 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. Signe was the sole remaining survivor of her 7 siblings.
Friends will be received by the family at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill on January 13, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. The funeral service to honour Signe’s life will take place at the funeral home at 2:00pm on January 13, 2018. Interment will take place at Kincardine Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Gideon’s International in Canada, Open Arms Mission or Women’s Place.
