Ronald Nordsveen
Ronald Kenneth Nordsveen, age 69 of Swift Current, passed away September 19, 2018. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., September 29th, from the chapel at Warren’s Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. The organist was Yolande Gorrill. The interment service will be held in Cadillac at a later date. Ron is survived by his mother, Ragnhild Cory; spouse, Patricia Nordsveen; sons, Christopher Nordsveen and David Nordsveen; granddaughter, Ava Nordsveen; sisters-in-law, Linda Dahl, Judy Dahl and Karen Schwab; nephew, Travis Schwab; niece, Amanda Schwab; and grand-niece, Ella Schwab. Ron was predeceased by his birth mother, Victoria Schwab; brother, Bob Schwab; father, Albert Nordsveen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Ron was born in Saskatoon in 1948, and attended school in Leinan, Stewart Valley and later in Swift Current. He married Patricia Dahl on March 8, 1975 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. He was employed by the Department of Highways and then at CP Rail until he was pensioned. In his younger years, he belonged to a CB club, and he and Pat spent many hours on the CB radio. Ron enjoyed fishing, listening to 60s music and playing guitar. Later in life, he loved to feed the birds and squirrels. He loved to see his granddaughter or to hear her on the phone. He also had a dream about owning a Harley.
