Obituary of Rita Oliver
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Sunday, September 16, 2018, Rita Oliver of St. John’s; formerly of Gull Island, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Jerry and Julia Oliver; sisters: Eileen, Josephine, and Dorothy; brothers: Gerard and Sol. Leaving to mourn, two sons: Jerry Francis and Lloyd Francis, both of St. John’s; one brother: Bill (Theresa) Oliver, Gull Island; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel’s Memorial Chapel, Western Bay. Interment in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Cemetery, Northern Bay. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Rita Oliver Memorial Fund c/o Noel’s Funeral Home, 106 Water Street, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1A9.
