Rendell, Raymond (1935-2018)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls on Thursday November 22nd, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late James Rendell and of the late Frances Rendell (née Roberts). Beloved husband of Bernice Rendell of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Lori Rendell of Surrey, BC, Lynn Runciman (Craig) and Kent Rendell (Heather), both of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Benjamin and Alexander as well as his step-grandchildren Sam, Olivia and Alex. Survived by his siblings Rosie Schroeder (late Cyril), Maxine Bryant (late Ted), Clyde Rendell (Leslie), Joan Holunga (Pat), Wilma Rendell and Barb Arnold (John). Raymond was a past Master of the Masonic Lodge of Sturgeon Falls as well as a member of the Rorab Shrine Club of North Bay as part of the Cycle and Kart unit. Ray was most happy when spending time with his friends and family, especially his two grandsons who always brought a smile to his face. Ray instilled in his children a strong work ethic as well as a love of the outdoors. He was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching curling, golf, baseball and his beloved Maple Leafs. The family will receive friends at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home on Thursday December 6th, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Friday friends may call after 10 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Donations to St Andrew’s United Church in Sturgeon Falls, Shriners Hospital for Children or a charity of your choice.
