The Lord in His infinite wisdom has taken to Himself our beloved Father, Opa and Great Opa at the age of 83!

Google Maps blessed with 10 children and at last count the size of the family was at 110. (We know this because he bought that many chocolate letters for the family day 2 days before he passed.)
Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Bieny in 2000 and is survived by his children, Ray and Jenette Schoon, Brenda and Sid Hoeksema, John and Margaret Schoon, Margaret and Jake Ravensbergen, Peter and Wendy Schoon, Elaine and Oebele Spriensma, Gerald and Janet Schoon, Christine and Peter Widmer, Carla and Mark Stiksma, Debbie and Shaun Chin, 34 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Bill Nobel and two grandchildren. Dad is survived by brothers and sisters in Holland as well as siblings of mom in Holland and Canada.
Family will receive friends at COVENANT CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH OF GRASSIE, 480 Woolverton Rd., Grimsby on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Brampton Memorial Gardens.
We are comforted with the words “you will be with me in paradise” as we mourn his passing and look forward to the day we meet again!
