Ovila LeBlanc
1942-2018
Ovila LeBlanc, 75, of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday June 12,
2018. He was married to Ann (Léger) LeBlanc. Born in Cocagne,
he was the son of the late Edmond and the late Délia (Goguen)
LeBlanc.
Ovila was a long-time fan of the Montreal Canadian hockey team.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Ann, his two sons; Léo
(Johanne) of Dieppe and Donald (Geo) of Toronto, and his two
grandchildren; Joël and Karine. He also leaves to mourn two
sisters; Thérèse LeBlanc (Paul) of Saint-Antoine,
Léa Carroll (Léo-Paul) of Saint-Maurice, his four
brothers; Omer, Adrien (Lucille) and Léonard of Saint-Antoine,
Alfred (Claude) of Montreal as well as several nephews and
nieces.
He was predeceased by one sister, Bernadette and three brothers;
Léo, Claude and Donald.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Thursday June 14, 2018
from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday June 15, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
and 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the
Saint-Antoine Church on Friday June 15, 2018 at 7:00 pm with interment
in the parish cemetery.
In Ovila’s memory, donations may be made to the Saint-Antoine
l’Ermite parish Fund.
