Obituary of Oswald Fortin
It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Oswald Fortin, 90 years old, passed away at the Shawville Hospital on Sunday, November 11th, 2018. Survived by his beloved wife Lavern. Loving father of Lisa, Shawn and Valerie. Loving Papa / Pepere of Amy, Keith, Tyler, Matt, Brianna and Rylan (his toutou), predeceased by Elizabeth. Loving great grandpa to Tia, Cody, Darias, Damien, Mataya and Tristan. Loving brother of Viola, Omer (Jacqueline). Loving brother-in-law of Madeleine (late Harvey) and Rachel (late Gerald). Predeceased by Bernadette (Jean), Noé ( Jane), Albertine, Conrad, Jérome and Gérard. Predeceased by his loving parents Maxime et Hermaline. Beloved uncle to Linus, Michel, Marlene, Lionel, Leonard, Patsy, Tammy, Norma, Tommy, Steven, Kerry, Nikki, Jacques, Ricky, Deidre, Nancy, Barbara, Joseph and Michel. Predeceased by Shirley, Gerald Jr, Jeffrey. A very big thank you to Manoir Sacré Coeur, Long Term and Shawville Hospital staff for their loving care of my dad, you made him feel special.
Ozzy was a very loved man. Cherished by so many who had the chance to meet him. He left his mark with us all by how generous and loving he was! The greatest father, brother, son, papa, great grandpa, uncle, cousin, friend you could possibly ask for. He may not have had much in life but he would give you the shirt off his back. He took pride in being a hard worker and providing for his family. He was all about life lessons, doing the right thing and being a comedian playing jokes all the time on anyone he could. The last few years of his life were spent being the best papa he could be to his little toutou Rylan, his best friend a love so unconditional that they were inseparable. He has left such a huge hole in our hearts. A man so irreplaceable. We Love You Oswald Joseph Fortin.
Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 195 rue Principale, Fort-Coulonge, Quebec on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, November 16, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral mass will be held in Église St-Pierre, Fort Coulonge, Quebec on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.. Interment in parish cemetery.
