Noreen Brownrigg
Brownrigg, Noreen Marie – age 72 of Dartmouth passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Sampson) Lancaster. Noreen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family as well as her volunteer work. Her volunteer work was recognized by the three honourary life membership awards she received; IWK Health Centre, IWK Auxiliary and the Nova Scotia Association of Health Auxiliaries. Noreen took pride in her quilting and sewing talents, the results of which many people still treasure. Noreen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert; daughters, Angela Tolton (Jim), Hammonds Plains, Lindsay Brownrigg (Colin MacArthur), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Zackery (Alicia), Adam, Matthew; great grandchildren, Mitchell, Chloe, Corbin; brother, James Lancaster (Brenda); sisters in law, Judy Lancaster, Judy Gay (Wayne), Irene Merlin (Edward), Marg Lee (Fred), Helen Brownrigg; brother in law, James Brownrigg (Shirley) and extended family. She was predeceased by brother, Douglas Lancaster; brother in law, Douglas Brownrigg and sister in law, Cathy Brownrigg. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday, November 11th with a funeral service 10am Monday, November 12th followed by a reception all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Private family interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the IWK Health Care Centre Auxiliary – 5850/5980 University Avenue, P.O.
