Hamilton, Nancy May –
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Nancy May
Hamilton, loving wife of the late John (Jack) Hamilton, announce her
passing on Monday, January 8, 2018 at her residence. Born on June 15,
1932 in Saint John, she was a daughter to the late Bernard and Ethel
(Simpson) Short.
Nancy was a homemaker who loved looking after the needs of
her family. She was an avid reader, loved to cook and everyone looked
especially forward to the family gatherings every Christmas Eve. Nancy
also took great pride in cooking alongside her son Rick at his hunting
lodge which she did for many years. She was so proud of her
grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be greatly
missed.
Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her sons: John of Tulsa
Oklahoma, Robert (Cindy) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Rick (Wendy) of
Gagetown; She will also be greatly missed by her 12 grandchildren, 17
great- grandchildren and 4 great- great- grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was predeceased
by her daughters, Shirley, Joan and Mary as well as her brothers,
Frank, Bern and Bob.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of
Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). As per
Nancy’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral
service. A private interment will take place in Gagetown in the
Spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to
Bobby’s Hospice, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the
